Living Will Kit
Make Your
Wishes Known
While many
people may have heard the term “Living Will,” many might not have
understood what it meant before the Terry Schiavo case. A Living Will is
simply making your wishes known. Terry was removed from artificial life
support after a court order and died following one of the nation’s most
bitter, and highly publicized, right-to-die disputes.
Terry
Schiavo didn’t have a Living Will, and no matter what side of the debate
you are on, we can all agree that had she signed a Living Will, this
tragedy would have been avoided because there would have been a written
record of her wishes.
To prevent a similar situation from
happening to you, Indiana Memorial Group has created a free Living Will
Kit, which contains important legal documents that let you specify
whether or not you want to be kept on artificial life support if death
is imminent, or a state of coma becomes permanent. Your free Living Will
Kit contains everything you need to make sure your wishes are known.
